Effective May 15, 2009, there will be a new step in
the reservation booking process.
Airlines will be required to collect passenger full
name, date of birth, and gender for transmitting to
the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
You will not be able to obtain a boarding pass until
the airline has received this information.
Travel & Entertainment
is
asking our travelers to fill out the attached
questionnaire, by doing so it will allow us to
collect and store the information in your traveler
profile and the information will be transmitted to
the airline every time a reservation is made. If you
select not to provide Worldtek with the information,
you will be required to provide it at the airport,
possibly causing airport delays and missed flights.

Effective next Wednesday
September 15th,
American Airlines and United Airlines
will inhibit ticketing on any itinerary for travel
after November 01,
which does not contain Secure Flight Passenger Data.
Please note, this
is not a travel agent
restriction but applies to all GDS
platforms.
There is no override format.
If you have a client
travelling after Nov 01, and the ticket was issued
prior to September 15, then the Secure Flight data
needs to be in the PNR at least 72 hours prior to
flight. If you fail to add this information within
the required time limit, your client
will not be able to check in,
and the airline has the
right to cancel the reservation, as well
as send a debit memo.
Why is this happening
now? The TSA is moving into the next phase of Secure
Flight, which requires 100% compliance.
Carriers which fail
to collect this information are subject to fines of
up to $27,500 per person.
Inhibiting ticketing
for missing Secure Flight Data, allows the carrier
to avoid potential fines by TSA.
Most of you have emailed
or given us verbally the DOB's, full ID names
already.
IF YOU HAVE NOT, I NEED
TODAY PLEASE
Let me know if you
have any questions.
